Nine cheap or free date ideas in London

Glamour doesn't have to be expensive.

I love 5* hotels, beautiful restaurants, the theatre and First Class travel, but you know what else makes me feel glamorous?

Wearing red nail polish. Drinking tea from a pretty cup and saucer, or bubbles from a 50s champagne saucer instead of a flute. Enjoying company by candlelight instead of overhead electric lights. How much do these luxurious little substitutions cost? Nothing. But do they make a difference to how glamorous I feel? Yes!

In that spirit, I've taken some time out to list my favourite London date ideas that cost pennies but add sparkle to a romantic tryst.

1.  Art gallery tours

The National Gallery offers free hour-long tours at 11.30am and 2.30pm every day. Every tour is different, so we could even do the 11.30am tour, go for lunch somewhere nearby, then return for part two at 2.30pm. Appreciating some of the finest art in the world in such a grand venue would really give us something to talk about back at the nearby 5* hotel I know...

2.  Museums

There are plenty of free museums to visit in London, including my personal favourite, the Natural History Museum, but if antique and modern medical equipment is your fetish, let's take a walk around St Bartholomew's Hospital Museum or the Royal London Hospital Museum.

3. Debauched London! walking tour

A completely free three-hour guided tour of The City and Southbank, which has long been associated with distractions and debauchery! We could dip out and into an Uber to our hotel whenever we pleased...

4.  Luxurious bubble bath

... Back at the hotel after our free tour. Does a candlelit bath for two with rose petals in the water and a bowl of strawberries to feed each other cost much more than the standard five-minute shower? No. But does it feel glamorous and sexy? Yes!

5.  Cable car night ride

If you have £4 on your Oyster card, you can join me for a romantic sunset voyage on the Emirates cable car. 25-minute round trips are available 7 - 9pm Monday - Thursday and offer glittering views over the Thames.

6.  Sky Garden

A three-storey indoor park with 360° views of London- relaxing and weather-proof! Entry is free, you just need to book in advance.

7. Breakfast or brunch date

Breakfast is the least expensive meal of the day (and the only meal that is socially acceptable to enjoy in bed).

8.  Check out Groupon

Get heavily discounted tickets for events (theatre, club nights, comedy shows, circuses, concerts, burlesque shows, horse racing, cinema tickets...), dinners, cocktails and even romantic getaways. I promise not to laugh if you pay for dinner with a coupon. Elegance isn't about flashing cash all the time.

9.  DIY dungeon session

Dungeon hire isn't cheap, but as a dedicated fetish goddess, I own my own leather shackles, dog collar and lead, riding crop, designer cane, wooden paddle (cunningly disguised as a hairbrush) silk blindfold, nipple clamps, latex wardrobe, cruel high heels and leather opera gloves, which I can use to administer strict discipline in an otherwise ordinary hotel room.

I am a kinky escort and luxurious dating companion based in Central London. I like vintage glamour, food, 5* hotel rooms and champagne cocktails. If you are interested in asking me out, please click here to read more about me and send a message.
